General Information Of Industrial Couplings

A Coupling is a device used to connect two shafts at their ends for the purpose of transmitting power.A Coupling can either be rigid or flexible allowing relative radial  , axial or angular movement of the two shafts.Coupling do not allow disconnection of shafts during operations but though these do exist torque limit couplings which can disconnect when some torque limit is exceeded.

Types Of Couplings:

Star (Jaw) Couplings

Star jaw couplings are designed to meet the demand for a low cost general purpose requirements.Due to its simple constructions these couplings are easy to install & no special tools are required.As the load is transmitted through spider compression , thus decreases the tears & wears of CI jaws of couplings.This couplings are also provided in extended length series (i.e. SRL & SRS series) in order to enable quick easy disconnection from driving unit without disturbing drive shaft.This couplings are available in two options , either Cast iron or Aluminium. Design available - "L" - Standard Internal Spider Coupling "RRL" - Standard Extended Length Spacer Coupling "SW" - Standard External Spider Coupling "RRS" - External Spider Aluminium Spacer Coupling. Pin Bush Type Flexible Coupling

The Pin bush type flexible coupling are very simple & compact in construction.These couplings transmits the torque through high tensile steel bolts to the machine input shaft.Highly developed rubber components are used in bushes to absorb loads , torsional vibrations & slight misalignment.These couplings are provide in wide range with options of Light & Heavy duty series as per the clients requirement.
